Canyon, a renowned name in performance cycling, is illuminating safer rides with its innovative integrated lighting solutions, as detailed in a recent announcement from the Canyon newsroom. Recognizing that visibility is paramount as daylight hours dwindle, Canyon emphasizes that smart lighting is an integral part of their bike design, ensuring confidence and safety after dark across various bike categories.
A standout innovation is Canyon's ECLIPS System, an ingenious integration of light, energy, and design. This system features a reliable SON hub dynamo, an internally mounted battery and control unit, and powerful Lupine lights (front and rear). The control unit intelligently manages power, ensuring flicker-free illumination, and provides real-time data via the Canyon App. ECLIPS debuts on select versions of their gravel bikes, the Grizl CF 9 and Grizl CF 8, purpose-built for multi-terrain adventures that extend into the night.

For urban riders, Canyon offers solutions like the Citylite and Citylite:ON. The non-electric Citylite uses a dynamo-powered lighting system, elegantly integrating front and rear lights. The Citylite:ON e-bike pairs a similar design with a Bosch Performance Line motor and a 400 Wh battery, powering a rear light with a brake light function. The Roadlite:ONfly, an agile urban e-bike (approx. 16.1 kg in size M), features a LightSKIN H2E Flat handlebar with a 150-lumen LED front light invisibly built-in, powered by the main battery and operated via a FAZUA handlebar remote. Its LightSKIN rear light is similarly integrated into the seatpost.
Adventure seekers will appreciate the Pathlite:ON e-trekking models. The Pathlite:ONfly 8 utilizes a compact Bosch Performance Line SX motor to power its integrated Supernova lighting system and Sate-lite rear lights with brake signals. For heavier loads, the Pathlite:ON SUV models feature a Bosch CX motor, a high-quality Supernova front light, and a Sate-lite M15 rear light with intuitive brake light function.
Finally, Canyon extends its lighting philosophy to gravel and road bikes. The Grizl:ONfly e-gravel series, including the CF 9, CF Trail (with 40 mm RockShox suspension), and CF Daily, come with fully integrated lighting: a Lupine Nano SL upfront and Canyon x Lupine SightStays at the rear, both powered by the main Bosch e-bike battery. The Endurace:ONfly E-road bike combines a quiet TQ-HPR50 motor with integrated Canyon x Lupine SightStay rear lights and a LightSKIN U1 Ultra headlight boasting 150 lumens, seamlessly integrated into the cockpit.
Canyon’s commitment to integrating advanced lighting across its diverse bike range means riders can confidently extend their adventures and commutes well after sunset without the fuss of external lights.
